The characters are recruited by a fixer to perform a role of ‘distribution’ for a major corporation, promised 40% of a deal worth up to ½ a million credits. The job is based in a fortified suburb of New Tokyo's Dead Zone. The product being distributed is unknown, but the fixer confirms it is illegal, and would involve criminal prosecution if they’re caught.
It's good money for what is essentially a "management" role, the characters would be crazy to turn down the opportunity. Events quickly unfold that are utterly beyond their control and the characters discover they have been pulled into the insane machinations of a scientist who is morally bankrupt. Survival is one thing, but can they stop the madness and murder erupting within the boundary walls of the Dead Zone fortress town they currently call "home"?
