Where there's a will, there's a cure?
Strapline
Is it possible that someone has figured out a cure for the infected? Where will you go and how much will you risk to find out if it's real?
Player's introduction
In the few years after YD, rumours persisted of companies who had been working on a cure for the virus in response to the catastrophe in Europe. Biopharm companies were searched head-to-toe by whatever authorities were left. Nothing was found and gradually people learnt to be skeptical about such rumours rather than have their hopes dashed.
One day, a battered traveller turns up at the PC's residence; he explains that he has been searching for the PC for years and that as far as he knows, the PC is the sole living heir to the will of Albert J Carruthers. Albert was a secretive uncle to the PC with a professorial demeanour. The traveller passes papers to the PC, indicating a number of half-interesting and half-sentimental belongings, but also listed is what seems to be some scientific papers. When the PC collects the papers from a bank vault, it suggests Albert was part of a secret team working on a vaccine for the virus...could it be true, or was Uncle Albert just raving?! Just think how much such resaerch could be worth!
GM's notes
Who might also know about the papers and be after them for commercial interest?
What physical or other obstacles might the party face in recovering the 'research details' from Albert's workplace?
Can they possibly put the research to any use?
Is the traveller to be trusted or does he know more than he's saying?

Great concept, I love the way it starts out with the classic "stranger turns up on your door". Really cool :-)
