Professor Franklin Donovan is a man of refinement. 10 years ago, he was a professor of medieval studies at Toronto University and used to living the good life. Fortunately for him, he was one of the lucky 5% to survive the events of Yellow Dawn. Unfortunately, it left him a changed man.
10 years of struggle, racism, fear and alienation have taken their toll and hardened his attitude to humanity.
However, Professor Donovan is not alone. He's discovered others that have felt just as marginalised, victimised and angry. And they're looking for answers. Answers he's now providing.
Donovan has also discovered he's one of life's natural leaders, and has started to carve out a feudal empire in Canada's frozen north, with him as King.
Now he's managed to get his hands on something that could change the balance of power in region, and establish him as the dominant force in North America.
The only question that remains is what happens now?
Players introduction -
- Will you fight for freedom, and attempt to stop the establishment of a tyrannical feudal regime?
- Or will you side with the changed, to help them fight for their rightful place as the masters of humanity?
GMs introduction -
- Potential to have the PC's introduced as slaves (Donovan's empire endorses slavery) and to escape
- Alternatively, they can be employed to infiltrate Donovan's empire, in order to find a way to stop him before its too late.
- For a Mythos feel, the power Donovan possesses could be related to a certain being who seeks to extend its domain of ice as far south as Texas (which I think is the most fun).
- Otherwise, it can be a plain old advanced weapons cache that will help propel him to dominance.
