The day I lost all respect for the UK police

I’ll add more words about this when I find the mental clarity to write some, but at this moment my blood is boiling and my thoughts are seething with disgust.

This is a man caught up in the G20 protests in London in an utterly unprovoked action by thugs-in-uniform.

I lot of police constables used in demonstrations and such are voluntaries, probably not completely vetted with their own issues.

completely unprovoked though. Some of the idiots(police) there were ready to start fighting. Bad attitude to have, when they are there to maintain peace.

Further video evidence of systematic police brutality is coming to light. It transpires the officer who struck a woman in the face (attending a vigil for Ian Tomlinson) may have been in the same unit as the officer responsible for Ian Tomlinson's death. These thugs-in-uniform may have hidden thier ID numbers to avoid identification, suggesting they were prepared (and briefed?) for violence. Is there a "special unit" within the police tasked with crushing disenting opinion? Certainly this is too big for the IPCC to handle. It'll be interesting to see if this leads to anything conclusive.
